Well, since I'm actually being productive today...shall try this meme...stolen from various...but conceived by [ profile] deadvole

Give me the title of a story I've never written, and feedback telling me what you liked best about it, and I will tell you any of: the first sentence, the last sentence, the thing that made me want to write it, the biggest problem I had while writing it, why it almost never got posted, the scene that hit the cutting room floor but that I wish I'd been able to salvage, or something else that I want readers to know.

What can I say? I don't write about the odd society of UtBs half as much as I should. Fluff is just a scratch of the surface of all the twistiness going about in the realms of the dustbunnies and such.

I'm hoping to return the burro soon, cause Odent is just too classic to let fall to the wayside. It was going to end much darker (aka: stuffin' everywhere) and then he sorta scampered from the edges of my mind... Glad ye enjoyed it. Thanks!

*sighs* I really don't know the more I think about it but I really wanted to capture the oddness and desolation of the landscape of the Canadian Shield...and having the fellow die just seemed to fit. Plus, he was already at the tail end of his life and he wanted to save his friend.

I hope the moose sequence wasn't too jarring in that first part. I was really debating cutting it...but I really couldn't give up the quirk of it. Shows another side of the ogopogo, I thought.

When I saw the title "Lemmings Away," I burst out laughing, because I knew that a story with such a comical title had to be a humorous read. I was not disappointed, but the dark undertone of the plot caused me to reflect on the surprisingly powerful message the story had to offer. It really made me think.

And lemmings in biplanes? Priceless.
